It is a highly complicated pattern of gears and levers on which the classic slot machine operates. The reels are supported by a metal shaft, which is the pivotal element. What gets the things moving is a handle mechanism which is attached to this shaft. There is an intricately structured system of brakes which is responsible for bringing the spinning reels to a halt, after which the position of the reels is corresponded to the payout system by sensors. When a coin is popped in, a coin detector registers it at the outset, and a brake is unlocked in order to make the handle move.

The paddles of the kicker are aligned in such a fashion that they can push against the notches on the three discs. A series of connected stoppers in the form of teeth that lock into the notches on the discs are also supported by the second shaft.
The kicker and the stoppers are held in a standby position by the springs attached to them. The kicker is positioned behind the discs, whereas the stoppers, which lock the discs into place, are held up against them. These parts start operating in a large scale, when a player pulls the handle of a slot machine.
